Hello everyone,

To celebrate the Fragonard in Love – Suitor and Libertine exhibition at the Musée du Luxembourg from 16th September 2015 to 24th January 2015, the RMN - Grand Palais and the Musée du Luxembourg are inviting WeLoveWords writers to pay hommage to Jean-Honoré Fragonard (1732-1806) in poetry.

His inspiration for all that is romantic was time and time again portrayed as galant and libertine, often audaciously mischievous and, at times, representative of a new “love” ethic, one that does not fail to connect body and soul.

Be inspired by one of the ten proposed works of art and write a poem on it.

You will find the selection of works below.


Prizes:

  • RMN-Grand Palais will select around twenty poems that will be published in a free eBook !

Limits:

  • To participate, you must me a member of WeLoveWords

  • It is obligatory that your contribution be a poem

  • Your poem must correspond to one of the 10 works below

  • 3000 characters maximum, spaces included

Planning:

  • Beginning of contest: 16th September 2015

  • End of contest: 16 November 2015
