Attention to the Details

What are the important details in your life?

The Pitch

Today we find our attention divided more than ever before, with more distractions, more technology, and more demands on our time. This is the screenplay of a young man named Cédric who is still sorting out the details and priorities of his life, as he rushes to the airport to take a trip to Milano. But one thing he can count on is his well-engineered and fun New Twingo.

The Clock is Ticking

Perched upon a nightstand, an alarm clock is beeping, adjacent to an airline boarding pass. The furnishings of this typical Parisian flat are contemporary. A handsome, muscled young man in his 20s, Cédric is sleeping in bed. His luggage is packed, ready to go.

An Abrupt Awakening

Time goes by. Cédric is still not up. Clenched in the mouth of his energetic dog, the sheets are suddenly yanked off. The dog knows it is time to go. He looks at the clock, shocked. “The flight to Milano boards in 30 minutes!” He is sitting up and wearing only underpants printed with little Twingos in each colour.

Something Forgotten

Cédric's bright red Twingo leaps out of the space on a busy street. The hatch is still open. The dog is on the sidewalk, barking at the Twingo driving away. The building door is open and his shoe was dropped on the ground.

Ready When You Are

A view from the interior, showcasing the vibrant trim. He is hustling through the streets of Paris. Pedal to the floor. The revs are high. Right hand gripped around the gearshift. Intensely focused. His left hand turns the steering wheel to the left to avoid an obstacle. A smile is on his face – he loves the agile and maneuverable character of his Twingo. In the rear view mirror, we see his luggage and the open hatch.

Rear-Wheel-Drive Drifting

To save time he shortcuts through a market of carts of fruits. Grabbing the parking brake, Cédric exits the street and drifts, forming an S-shape around the carts. His luggage ejects from the open hatch and shoots into a pile of oranges, sending fruits everywhere. An angry shopkeeper shouts.

Admirers

Pulling up to the curb at the airport, his red Twingo contrasts with the other cars. Leaving the keys, he goes to open the hatch to retrieve his luggage. The hatch is open! His luggage is missing! A group of attractive young women shouts out to him, “cool car!” A guard orders him to move the car, but Cédric flees inside the airport.

Shoes

With only one shoe, Cédric runs to the gate. An ad for the new Twingo is seen. A beautiful woman motions him onto the plane, curiously glancing at his missing shoe.

Attention to the Details.

Cédric is in the airplane seat, when he realizes that he forgot something important. “I forgot my bagel!" He recalls his coffee on the kitchen counter, along with his bagel still in the toaster, rather than the more important things he forgot today. The airplane's window cover is open. A Twingo-shaped cloud floats by.
