Beach Blanket Babylon Boulevard

Emmanuel Turlay

I sail this boat on an ocean of lies
And I'm getting seasick, I need to tread some land
Before I bury my head and fuck it up again.
Ever so conspicuously it doubles up in size
Like a malignant cancer sucking on a gland,
It creeps along my spine and settles in the brain.

So take my hand, show me round the world,
See my aspirations are not absurd.
I'll take my chance, believe I'm not alone,
Questioning the prophets is what makes us strong.
And If I come undone, I'll flip another coin, and I'll spin another globe,
Cause I know it's the last call to Beach Blanket Babylon Boulevard.

Now that I broke free I don't need no secret aliby,
No surogate motivation boosting my demand.
I tumble down the hill, aknowledge I'm insane.
As to what comes next ain't got not fucking plan in mind,
Like an amnesic goldfish stranded on the sand,
I buzz about this town, dance naked in the rain.

And If I fail, I'll summon my pride, learn another dance.
And If I fail, I'll head back home and pick another chance.
And If I fail, I'll walk this line alone, I'll learn to swim this pond,
I'll crawl if I have to, in this desert I call home.

I'll never sell my soul except to the devil if he's got coins.
