Through what the rain and the wind have to offer
enzogrimaldi7
It'd started with a leaf
Brown autumn colored
A prisoner's words
On the sole leaf
From the last tree
On the island of If
Dragged by Zephyr
It traveled North
To an extinct volcano
Where a Santiago pilgrim
Piously walked it to
The Compostela church
A devoted monk
Put it in a frame
Worshipped as a relic
Cherished by bigots
Feared by pagans
Protected by God
Stolen by a gypsy
Between dawn and dusk
Vanished to Albaicín
Where a priestess
Perfumed and stripped
Sang and danced on it
Freed by a sailor
It embarked on a ship
Towards the Irish sea
Caught by the Two Giants
Who fought for it
It jumped on a cloud
Then flew to the East
And after the rain
It fell at the top
Of a Hampshire oak
Where a wise artist
Found the framed leaf
While restoring it
The message appeared
And the gentle painter
Who knew the writer
Gave it to the One
I love you, she read.

It's Art in 3 dimensions: image, music and words. I've never questioned art in that way. May be i'm wrong, i need to think it over, may be you can help?
