The Twingo's "Very Bad Trip".

THE NAME

I wanted to mix several words and concepts.

First, “Twingo”, because it is the brand

Second, “hangover”: in order to show that she (yes, because it's a baby girl!) will never let us down, especially during the craziest moments of our life, no matter the consequences.

Finally, “crossover”: as the car is very easy to use and fits perfectly with the constraints of an urban day-to-day life.

A slogan that could sum up the idea: “No matter what you do, no matter where you are. The new Twingo will never let you down.”

THE STORY

Will, Alice, Rupert and Claire are young, free, eager, and they believe the night will never end. They have accounts on every possible social network and consider themselves as artists as they are their own lives' designers. Recently graduated, they came to Paris to visit and celebrate their diploma. Of course, they also wanted to enjoy the French capital's nightlife. During their trip, they met Tina the Twingo. She joined the crew for one crazy night she'll (almost) never forget.

***

Our story starts when Tina wakes up: she's like a wreck, she's hangovered, and on her windscreen there is a letter and a dozen of pictures taken by a Polaroid camera. Tina will travel through her memories to remember what happened the night before.

THE STEPS OF THE STORY

1)      Waking up in the morning.

Tina is alone on the esplanade of the Trocadero. In the background of the picture we see the silhouette of the Eiffel Tower. The sun is already quite high in the sky. It might be eleven in the morning. Some Asian tourists seem to be more interested in the lonely car, as they are taking pictures of Tina, than in the Eiffel Tower herself (Yes, because she's an old lady, every Parisian knows that!). There are pictures and a letter on Tina's windscreen. She's filled with cotillions, colourful confetti and banners of different European countries. What a mess!

2)      Realizing.

Close up of Tina's windscreen. Among confetti and cotillions, there is a letter and lots of pictures that have been taken with a Polaroid. The picture focuses on the letter, on which it reads: “Dear Tina, Thank you sooooo much for last night! We loved the guide! Time has come to say Goodbye, but hon', you rock! Keep on rolling! ‘Hope you'll like the pics! xXx The WARC team (Will, Alice, Rupert and Claire!) xXx” (After this step, we actually focus on 6 of the pictures spread on the windscreen. Let's pretend they asked to someone else to take the pictures)

3)      First picture: Meeting at noon.

The WARC Team looks quite lost in Pigalle. In front of the Moulin Rouge, Claire is sat on Tina, looking at a map. Alice is inside the car, playing the DJ and laughing out loud, while the boys are “dancing” the French Cancan with some accessories they stole to the girls (a skirt, a scarf, a hat…). Some Parisians are staring at them.

4)      Second picture: Visiting in the afternoon

Notre Dame. Alice tries to enjoy the sunny day, which is quite tricky with her joyful friends around. Claire, Rupert and Will are giving offering the tourists their version of Victor Hugo's novel. What a strange show! Claire is Esmeralda, Rupert is Djali and Will is the hunchbacked. Tina is part of the set as the hunchbacked is using her to hide from Esmeralda and watch her dancing. However, the smart Djali has found the voyeur and is hitting him with her horns.

5)      Third picture: Laughing in the evening.

Café de Flore, on the terrace. All the members of the WARC Team are well dressed for the night. In the foreground, on the left side of the picture, Rupert and Alice are sat on the front of the car, drinking champagne in old fashioned glasses. Rupert is offering a red rose to Alice. In the background, on the terrace, Claire and Will are dancing Charleston.

6)      Fourth picture: Performing at night.

Opéra Garnier. The scene takes place in front of the Opera, right after the show. In the background, the audience's leaving the theatre. In the foreground, the WARC team and Tina are giving another kind of show. On the right, Tina is a big star's limo. Claire is going out of the car, she wears her sunglasses. Will, as paparazzi, is taking a picture of the lady. On the left of the picture, Alice is signing an autograph to a very admiring young boy as knows as Rupert.

7)      Fifth picture: Walking at Midnight.

Champs Elysées. In the Background we can see the “Arc de Triomphe”. The WARC Team and Tina are crossing the street (like on the very famous picture of Abbey Road with the Beatles).

8)      Sixth picture: Dancing until dawn.

Esplanade of the Trocadero. The sun is rising. In the background, the sun outlines the silhouette of the Eiffel Tower. Like in a shadow theatre, we can see in the foreground the WARC Team dancing and the silhouette of the Twingo. Rupert is on the car, “on top of the world”. On the right, Claire and Will are dancing tango. On the left side of the car, Alice is playing the violin.
